Brady Farrell
MSC President
Co-Owner and President, 1901 Inc.

Brady Farrell is the President and Co-Owner of 1901 Inc. and was appointed President of Madison Area Mechanical and Sheet Metal Contractors Association in 2023.  A graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Farrell joined 1901 Inc. in 1991 as a Project Manager before being promoted to Vice President in 2002, and his current role as President in 2013.  In February 2024, Farrell became a co-owner of the company.

Rob Weise
MSC Vice President
Vice President, Mechanical Division – Operations, Hooper Corporation

Rob Weise is the Vice President of the Mechanical Division-Operations at Hooper Corporation and was appointed Vice President of Madison Area Mechanical and Sheet Metal Contractors Association in 2023.  Weise received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.  Prior to joining Hooper Corporation’s General Heating and Air Conditioning in 2013, Weise brought more than 20 years of professional experience managing various projects for General Contractors.  He took on his current role at Hooper Corporation in 2021.  He also won “Project Manager of the Year” in 2012 and was awarded InBusiness Magazine’s “40 under 40” in 2010.

Danny Johnson
MSC Secretary/Treasurer
Project Manager, The Waldinger Corporation/Commercial Air, Inc.

Danny Johnson is a Project Manager with The Waldinger Corporation – Commercial Air, Inc. and was appointed to Secretary/Treasurer of the Madison Area Mechanical and Sheet Metal Contractors Association in 2023.  A graduate of Montana Technological University with an Associate Degree in Computer Technology, Johnson started working for The Waldinger Corporation in May of 2022.  Prior to his current role, Johnson worked as an Estimator and Project Manager with Air Temperature Services, Inc. for almost 10 years.

Legacy Award

The MSC/MAPC Lifetime Achievement Award, or Legacy Award, was created to recognize and promote Contractor Members who have made significant contributions to the plumbing, mechanical or sheet metal industries.  It is bestowed upon individuals who have demonstrated a long history of service and dedication to the Madison Association.

  • Larry Davies

    As the first recipient of the MSC/MAPC Legacy Award, Larry’s career in the commercial and residential HVAC industry spanned five decades and his passion for the industry was evident through his commitment teaching the next generation. Over the years, his experience and knowledge was invaluable on the Steamfitter JAC, MSC and OSI Board of Directors, and as a Trustee for MACET, HPCC, and SMIP.

  • Mike Christensen

    For over 18 years, Mike was an influential member of MSC while he served as President of H&H Industries. His dedication, leadership, and service were instrumental in carrying out the objectives of MSC through his guidance on the NCPWB, MSC, and OSI Board of Directors, HPCC Board of Trustees, Steamffiting Negotiating Committee and JAC, and MACET.

    Starting out as a Sheet Metal apprentice at General Heating & Air Conditioning, Dave created a lasting legacy on the industry as he rose through the ranks to become a Vice President. Throughout his 42-years at General Heating, Dave was instrumental in the success of the Sheet Metal and Steamfitter JACs and the Association.

History of MSC

The Madison Area Mechanical & Sheet Metal Contractors Association, Inc. (MSC) was formed when the Mechanical Contractors Association of Madison, Inc. (formerly Heating, Piping & Air Conditioning Contractors – Madison Association, 1946) and the Sheet Metal Contractors National Association of Madison, Wisconsin (circa 1958) were consolidated in 1987. MSC strives to promote better relations between private owners, public bodies, architects, engineers, unions, Heating, Piping, Air Conditioning and Sheet Metal Contractors. These objectives are carried out through education, training, promotion, and communication.
