MAPC Announces New Board Members

MADISON, WI – Madison Association of Plumbing Contractors (MAPC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Schultz, Vice President & Plumbing Department Head of Hooper Corporation to MAPC President; Chris Behrendt, P.E., General Manager at J. F. Ahern Co. to MAPC Vice President, Jesse Pertzborn, Vice President of H.J. Pertzborn Plumbing & Fire Protection to MAPC Secretary, and Tory Miller, Vice President of 1901 Inc., to MAPC Treasurer, Executive Director Julie Walsh announced on Tuesday.

Schultz, a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, has over 25 years of experience in the plumbing field, and became the Plumbing Department Head of Hooper Corporation in April of 2013. Schultz was then promoted to Vice President of the company in January of 2017.

Behrendt, also a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Behrendt has been the General Manager of J. F. Ahern Co. for two years, and with the company for nearly 18 years.

Pertzborn continues to carry on the family business that his great grandfather, Henry Joseph Pertzborn, began in 1928. He joined the family business as a master plumber and designer for H.J. Pertzborn Plumbing & Fire Protection in the mid 1990’s. Pertzborn became Vice President of the company in April of 2014 following his father’s retirement.

Miller has nearly 20 years of experience designing and managing plumbing projects following his graduation with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville. He joined 1901 Inc. as a Project Manager in December 2018, and was promoted to his current role of Vice President in January 2020.

The MAPC Board Members serve in their positions for two-year terms. The board oversees the non-profit organization that works to provide contractors in the plumbing construction industry with the best education, resources, safety practices, industry relations, and networking events possible.
